Version 3 of Kinderloop's planning feature is now live, we gathered the educator feedback and fed it into making things simpler and more powerful.

To access your Kinderloop, login and click on your settings > then click on planning in the side column...

You have 3 areas to plan, the weekly/monthly, more structured area, custom plans that allow you to build a template for your educators to follow and the more freeform planning idea walls, there is also a community area that allows you to invite other educators/people outside of your Kinderloop to contribute to planning ideas. We will first look at the weekly plan...

You will notice that each planning item looks and feels like a normal post, allowing you to have live or private planning items, attach images, link children/groups and learning outcomes and also make comments for future reference. You can also:

- create posts directly from planning items

- save to your freeform planning wall

- save to multiple dates

- edit and delete

The freeform idea wall is a place where you can collate ideas and collaborate with other educators on upcoming activities with your service, similar to a mindmap, you can create as many idea walls as you want and have them private to you or shared amongst your staff.

Again you will notice that each planning item looks and feels like a normal post, allowing you to have live or private planning items, attach images, link children/groups and learning outcomes and also make comments for future reference. You can also:

- create posts directly from planning items

- save to your freeform planning wall

- save to multiple dates

- edit and delete

Your Kinderloop feed also now allows for planning items to be created from standard posts.

At assessment time, you can use the updated search feature to search on a child and include all types of posts, public, internal, family and planning, helping to show the linking and cycle of learning taking place.
